Combination creates the industry’s preeminent global background screening organization

IRVINE, Calif. & CHAPIN, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HireRight and General Information Services (“GIS”) announced today they have successfully come together under common ownership, creating the industry's preeminent background screening company with offices in Latin America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and North America. Over time, the combined company will operate under the HireRight brand.

A team of experienced executives from both HireRight and GIS, led by GIS chief executive officer Guy Abramo, is strategically integrating the organizations' operations and offerings, which include criminal background checks, fingerprint-based background checks, drug testing, driving records, employment and education verification, electronic onboarding and I-9 services, and industry-specific compliance and screening solutions across all sectors, including healthcare, technology, financial services, transportation, education, retail, and staffing.
